Miso Glazed Salmon with Sesame Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup white miso paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the white miso paste, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger to make the glaze.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Brush the miso glaze generously over the salmon fillets and let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  5. Place the marinated salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through.
  6. While the salmon is baking, heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
  7. Add the trimmed asparagus and sauté for 5-6 minutes until tender-crisp.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the asparagus and season with salt.
  9. Serve the miso glazed salmon with sesame asparagus on the side.
